How to Install Game Mod's

You can easily set up the mod framework and begin to expand your gaming experience with game mods. I find the Sims 3 much more enjoyable using mods.

To set up the framework, follow these easy instructions:

1.  Go to the following location on your computer:
            C:\Users\home\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
     This location is in your "My Documents" folder.

2.  Create a folder and name it "Mods" without the quotations.

3.  Inside the Mods folder you just created, create another folder called "Packages" (again, without quotations.

4.  Download the resource.cfg file HERE. Save in the mods folder. You will have a Mods folder with two items in it, the Packages folder and the resource.cfg file.  It should look like this:

5. Save .package file types to the Mods/Packages folder you created. When you start your game, those packages will be active.
